The Khan Academy: Maths and Science videos and more.

I had looked at the Khan Academy before, but thanks to Andrew Hill for reminding me about this impressive resource at the RSC Eastern Region e-learning meeting. There is a vast range of instructional videos and practice resources, particularly in Maths and Science. It has a particular pedagogical model which you may or may not like, but is well worth a look, and at the very least gives your students an alternative resource. If you sign up, you can watch the videos and then test your knowledge with examples. The range really is huge; for example, in the Maths section you go from single digit addition to partial derivatives and beyond. Watch what Bill Gates has to say about it.
