More Open Educational Resources

Three more ideas for educational resources:
  •  iTunes U has a tremendous amount of useful content. "More than 800 universities have active iTunes U sites. About half of these institutions — including Stanford, Yale, MIT, Oxford, and UC Berkeley distribute their content on the iTunes store".  I still come across colleagues who think you need an ipod or Apple computer to access iTunes, this is not the case, you can install on a Windows PC, although at present this would have to be your home computer, as we do not have itunes within the college system.
  •  Open Yale "courses provides free and open access to a selection of introductory courses taught by distinguished teachers and scholars at Yale University"
  • OER commons is a "structured database of links to high-quality resources found on other websites. OER Commons provides a single point of access through which educators, students, and all learners can search, browse, evaluate, and discuss over 30,000 high-quality Open Educational Resources."
