Quizlet is a simple to use online flashcard creator, free to use. Its most immediate and obvious use is with language learning, but it can also be useful for any study area, and ties in a number of online learning activities around the cards. As with most of these tools, the value comes from thinking about how you can incorporate it into the wider learning process, and the fact is is open to all to use. Perhaps start off with a set you create as teacher, but then ask your students to create and share their own resources using the tool. There are lots of sets of cards already available too.
